TC Ferrules are typically made from SS 304, 304L, and 316L, known for their superior chemical resistance and non-reactivity. Made up of 18–20% chromium and 8–12% nickel, with molybdenum (in 316L) for enhanced corrosion resistance, they provide tensile strength of 500–750 MPa and yield strength of 200–300 MPa. These ferrules are highly resistant to corrosion, have a good strength-to-weight ratio, and are easy to weld, which makes them well-suited for sanitary fittings. The even surface finish minimizes the risk of contamination and facilitates CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-In-Place) processes.
