Fabricated from SS 304 and 316L, flare fittings contain chromium (18–20%), nickel (8–12%), with molybdenum added to 316L for improved resistance. Tensile strength 500–700 MPa and yield 200–300 MPa. High-pressure sealing up to 6,000 psi is achieved with precision-machined male/female parts. Mechanical vibration and pressure fluctuation are endured by steel nipple, nut, and sleeve.
