Harshita Stainless produces and exports Stainless Steel 446 Tubing in Delhi, India. It is produced from ferritic stainless steel grade SS 446 and has excellent resistance to heat and oxidation, thus finding applications in high-temperature services. SS 446 tubing has about 22–27% chromium, trace amounts of nickel (<0.5%), and very low carbon. It offers exceptionally high tensile strength of 450–600 MPa and yield strength of 200–250 MPa, along with superior creep resistance at elevated temperatures. The ferritic microstructure supports dimensional stability under thermal stress conditions and has oxidation resistance up to ~800 °C. Tubing maintains strength and resists scaling without the use of excessive alloying elements.
