Stainless Steel 409L Pipes are crafted from a stabilized ferritic stainless steel alloy, primarily made up of chromium (10.5–11.75%) and featuring low carbon content (maximum 0.03%). This unique blend enhances weldability and corrosion resistance, particularly in oxidizing conditions. The alloy boasts moderate tensile strength (~380–430 MPa) along with good elongation and formability. It also excels in resisting exhaust gases and high-temperature oxidation up to 675°C.
