Stainless Steel 348H bars are a high-carbon, niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy. They consist of 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and columbium (niobium) to improve intergranular corrosion resistance. The increased carbon content (0.04–0.10%) enhances high-temperature strength and creep resistance. SS 348H bars boast a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. Their Brinell hardness typically falls between 150–200 HB. These bars are non-magnetic when annealed and offer excellent weldability, formability, and resistance to scaling at temperatures reaching 870–900°C, making them ideal for challenging thermal environments.
