Stainless Steel 347 Stud Bolts consist of iron, 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and stabilizing constituents such as niobium (columbium) and tantalum that increase resistance to intergranular corrosion in high-temperature service. This austenitic alloy possesses tensile strength of 515–690 MPa, yield strength of approximately 205 MPa, and good weldability and ductility. It has a high resistance to oxidation, creep deformation, and thermal fatigue, and hence is well suited for application in pressure-retaining and high-temperature conditions. Its stable metallurgical behavior when exposed to stress renders it ideal for aggressive industrial use.
