Stainless Steel 347 Nuts consist of stabilized austenitic stainless steel, consisting chiefly of 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, with a niobium (columbium) addition equivalent to at least ten times the carbon content. This alloy composition improves resistance against intergranular corrosion and carbide precipitation at high temperatures. They have tensile strength of 515–690 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and good elongation and weldability. The nuts retain mechanical properties during thermal cycling and oxidizing conditions with high durability, structural strength, and service performance in aggressive conditions.
