In order to improve high-temperature stability and prevent carbide precipitation during welding, stainless steel 316Ti flanges are made of titanium (at least five times the carbon content), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), and chromium (16–18%). The titanium content improves the alloy’s performance in challenging conditions and increases its resistance to intergranular corrosion.
