Stainless Steel 316/316L Flat Plates contain 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, and 316L has a reduced carbon content to support weldability and reduce sensitization. They provide excellent resistance to corrosion, particularly chlorides, acids, and seawater. Being highly tensile, with great durability and excellent formability, they are capable of sustained high-temperature performance and mechanical stress. The attractive surface finish and corrosion resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion make them suitable for both functional and aesthetic applications. Their mechanical strength provides them with long service life, even in very severe chemical and marine environments.
