Stainless Steel 316/316L Angles are austenitic stainless steels with approximately 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum for increased corrosion resistance. The 316L type has lower carbon content, enhancing weldability and reducing carbide precipitation. These alloys have superior tensile and yield strengths, good resistance to chlorides, seawater, and other acidic conditions. Their resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemicals provides long-term durability. They also have superior surface finish and mechanical properties, ideal for applications where strength, corrosion resistance, and attractiveness are the desired factors.
