SS 304L pipe fittings are produced in India and Dubai to offer efficient and corrosion-free fluid handling system solutions. SS 304L is the low-carbon equivalent of SS 304 with enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion when welded. These fittings—elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and crosses—are produced to ASTM A403 specifications. They find extensive applications in water systems, chemical processes, food processing, and pharmaceutical installations. Excellent weldability, durability, and hygiene characteristics make 304L fittings suitable for sanitary liquid and gas handling in high and low-pressure applications.
SS 304L has 18–20% chromium, 8–12% nickel, and ≤0.03% carbon. It provides tensile strength of 485–620 MPa and yield strength of 170–210 MPa with 35% elongation. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation when welding, giving higher resistance to intergranular attack. It has superior corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments, along with satisfactory strength and toughness over a broad range of temperatures. SS 304L pipe fittings retain their performance in mildly corrosive and atmospheric conditions and can be easily forged, machined, and welded.
