Stainless Steel 304L coils are produced in Dubai and India for use in situations where excellent corrosion resistance, weldability, and formability are desired. SS 304L is a low-carbon variant of grade 304, which makes it suitable for welding without sensitization. These SS 304L coils come in both hot-rolled and cold-rolled conditions and find vast applications in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food processing, and architectural sectors. Under ASTM A240 specifications, SS 304L coils offer a clean surface finish, superior mechanical strength, and a long service life. They are also used for fabrication, making pipes, tank fabrication, and sanitary environments with a requirement of clean surface materials.
SS 304L has a composition of 18–20% chromium, 8–12% nickel, and ≤0.03% carbon. It has a tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of about 170–210 MPa, and elongation of around 35%. Its low carbon content increases weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion. SS 304L is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and retains good toughness at cryogenic temperatures. These coils are simple to cut, form, and weld while preserving structural and surface integrity in a variety of industrial and architectural applications.
