Compared to regular 304, stainless steel 304H tubing has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%), 18–20% chromium, and 8–10.5% nickel. Creep resistance and high-temperature strength are enhanced by this increased carbon content. It has an approximate yield strength of 240 MPa, a tensile strength of 585–750 MPa, and an elongation of 40%. The tubing is appropriate for heat-intensive operations because it retains its structural stability and resistance to oxidation at temperatures higher than 500°C. It also retains good weldability and corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and moderately reducing environments.
