The ER347 filler wire usually has 19–21% chromium, 9–11% nickel, and columbium (niobium) for stabilization. It provides tensile strength of ≥75 ksi, yield strength of ≥55 ksi, and elongation of ≥30%. Adding columbium helps prevent intergranular corrosion during prolonged exposure to high temperatures. ER347 keeps its mechanical properties and structure well during cycles of heating and cooling and in oxidation. It is non-magnetic and creates strong, ductile welds. In TIG and MIG formats, it shows great bead appearance, minimal porosity, and smooth transitions during the arc.
