AWS Class E320LR-16 Electrodes are mainly made up of Chromium (19–21%), Nickel (32–36%), Molybdenum (2–3%), and a low Carbon content (maximum 0.03%) to enhance corrosion resistance. This electrode offers outstanding weld metal toughness and effectively resists hot cracking. The weld metal typically achieves tensile strengths around 620 MPa, yield strength of about 400 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 30%. The low-carbon formulation helps reduce carbide precipitation during welding, boosting resistance to intergranular attack. These electrodes provide smooth arc stability, easy slag removal, and are suitable for AC or DC+ welding in any position.
