Harshita Stainless is a leading manufacturer and supplier of AWS Class E316/316H-16 Electrodes, catering to customers in Dubai and India. These premium-quality electrodes are specifically for shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) of molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steels. The E316/316H-16 grade has great resistance against corrosion, pitting, and high-temperature oxidation and is best suited for application in chemical, marine, and petrochemical industries. With greater creep strength due to the increased carbon level in the “H“ type, these electrodes are particularly ideal for high-temperature applications. Harshita Stainless maintains high weldability, arc consistency, and product uniformity through strict quality check and global manufacturing practices.
E316/316H-16 electrodes have around 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and increased carbon level (upto 0.08%) in the “H” grade. This weld metal has high resistance to pitting, intergranular corrosion, and heat–oxidation. Typical mechanical properties are a tensile strength of ≥80 ksi, yield strength of ≥60 ksi, and elongation of ≥30%. The electrodes have smooth arc behavior, low spatter, and simple slag removal, resulting in high-quality welds with high strengths retained at elevated temperatures. Rutile-based coating provides flexibility for use with both AC and DC polarity.
