The AWS Class E308/308H-16 electrodes have 18-20% chromium, 8-12% nickel, and carbon content up to 0.04%. They are applied in welding stainless steels, particularly grades 304 and 304L. The mechanical properties are high tensile strength, excellent toughness, and good resistance to oxidation.
