Stainless Steel 304L fasteners are produced in Dubai and India for application in highly corrosive, welded, or food-grade environments. Grade 304L is the low-carbon version of 304 stainless steel, providing excellent formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance against intergranular corrosion. These fasteners are produced in accordance with ASTM A193/A194 specifications and come in bolts, nuts, washers, screws, and studs. SS 304L fasteners are used extensively in piping systems, construction, marine fittings, as well as cleanroom equipment. Their corrosion resistance and strength render them perfect for use where structural reliability, environmental exposure, and hygiene are critical.
SS 304L has 18–20% chromium, 8–12% nickel, and ≤0.03% carbon. The low carbon level stops carbide precipitation during welding, thus retaining corrosion resistance. The fasteners provide tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of approximately 170–210 MPa, and elongation of 35%. SS 304L is in a non-magnetic state in the annealed condition and can be cold-worked as well as welded. The alloy has strength and corrosion resistance in mildly acidic and oxidizing conditions and is best suited for structural fastening and fluid handling systems.
