Stainless Steel 321 pipe fittings are produced in Dubai and India by leading suppliers for use in those applications where outstanding resistance to intergranular corrosion and strength at high temperatures is needed. SS 321 is a titanium-stabilized, austenitic stainless steel that avoids carbide precipitation on welding and thermal cycling. These fittings in the form of elbows, tees, reducers, and caps are manufactured under ASTM A403 specifications and are suitable for application in high-temperature piping systems, chemical processing, and exhaust systems. SS 321 pipe fittings possess weldability, corrosion resistance, and durability, which makes them a suitable choice to be used in pressurized piping systems under aggressive thermal and corrosive conditions.
17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium (≥5xC%) is present in Stainless Steel 321 for stabilization. It has tensile strength of 515–620 MPa, yield strength of approximately 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 35%. The titanium content prevents sensitization and retains corrosion resistance following welding. It resists well to 870°C and retains excellent creep strength and structure integrity under thermal stress. Its scaling and weld decay resistance makes SS 321 suitable for high-temperature process systems that need to sustain long-term performance.
