Stainless Steel 347H pipe fittings are made in Dubai and India for high-temperature piping systems that need resistance to intergranular corrosion and high creep strength. Grade 347H is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel with a higher carbon content, making it ideal for long-term exposure to elevated temperatures. These fittings, including elbows, reducers, tees, and caps, are produced according to ASTM A403 standards and are key in critical industrial flow systems. With excellent weldability and durability, SS 347H pipe fittings are widely used in power generation, petrochemical, and thermal processing industries, where mechanical reliability and thermal resistance are crucial for extended use.
Stainless Steel 347H has 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) than 347 for better high-temperature strength. It is stabilized with columbium (niobium), which prevents carbide precipitation during welding. The tensile strength is about 515–620 MPa, with a yield strength of 205–275 MPa and elongation around 35%. SS 347H maintains its mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 870°C. Its enhanced creep strength and ability to resist stress rupture make it suitable for pressure-containing pipe systems in harsh thermal conditions.
