Stainless Steel 384 Fasteners consist mainly of an austenitic stainless steel alloy with about 16% chromium and 18% nickel, with trace additions of manganese, silicon, and carbon. These components provide superb corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and mechanical strength. The alloy provides a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and superb elongation and ductility. SS 384 is also non-magnetic in the annealed state, providing superior formability and thermal stability, making these fasteners perfectly suitable for high-stress, high-temperature, and corrosive operating environments.
