Stainless Steel 405 stud bolts are ferritic stainless fasteners that contain 11.5–14.5% chromium and about 0.2% aluminum, which enhances their oxidation resistance and machinability. With a low carbon content (≤0.08%), these bolts are easier to weld and less prone to grain growth. They typically boast a tensile strength of around 450 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa. SS 405 stud bolts offer moderate corrosion resistance, good ductility, and magnetic properties, with a Brinell hardness ranging from 150 to 200 HB. These bolts are particularly well-suited for high-temperature environments due to their ability to resist scaling and thermal fatigue.
