SS 304L bolts are produced in Dubai and India to be used in applications where there is great corrosion resistance and weldability required. SS 304L is the low-carbon equivalent of SS 304, which provides better protection against intergranular corrosion following welding. This bolt comes in hex head, carriage, flange, and socket types, produced in accordance with ASTM A193/A320 specifications. It finds extensive application in chemical plants, food-grade processing, construction, marine, and pharmaceutical facilities. Its non-reactive nature and longevity in mild corrosive conditions make it a perfect choice of long-term structural and equipment support fasteners.
SS 304L contains 18–20% chromium, 8–12% nickel, and ≤0.03% carbon. SS 304L has tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of around 170–210 MPa, and elongation of about 35%. The low carbon reduces carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing corrosion resistance in welded constructions. SS 304L bolts retain mechanical strength and ductility in adverse environmental conditions. They are non-magnetic in the annealed condition and have good toughness, which makes them ideal for fastening in indoor and outdoor applications.
