Stainless Steel 316Ti nuts are produced in Delhiand India to serve the purposes of the industries that demand high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. SS 316Ti is a titanium-stabilized alternative of SS 316, offering better resistance to intergranular corrosion and scaling at elevated temperatures. The nuts are utilized in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, flanges, and pipeline systems exposed to high temperatures and corrosive chemicals. Produced to ASTM A194 requirements, 316Ti nuts are supplied in hex, lock, flange, and dome configurations. They provide high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and chemical degradation resistance over prolonged periods in severe industrial conditions.
316Ti has 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and stabilizing titanium (≥5xC%). It provides tensile strength of 515–620 MPa, yield strength of ~205 MPa, and elongation of ~30–35%. Titanium suppresses carbide precipitation at grain boundaries upon welding, increasing resistance to weld decay. 316Ti also retains corrosion resistance and strength up to 870°C temperature. Its mechanical properties provide safe fastening under thermal stress, and hence such nuts are applicable in corrosive and high-temperature service conditions.
